富人当政的优势体现在:富人能利用其掌握的经济资源帮助农民共同致富、利用其掌握的社会资源加速乡村社会力量的整合;富人能将其致富能力转化为执掌乡村政权的执政能力;能以其新的思维和政纲推进乡村社会的发展。但同时,富人当政又存在许多弊端,它加剧了乡村社会的贫富分化,便利了财富与权力的媾和,客观上助长了乡村腐败的发展和向上蔓延等。因此,富人当政应充分发挥其优势,趋利避害,不断推进社会主义新农村又好又快的发展。
