浅析词汇附带习得与英语词汇教学

词汇附带性习得(IVA)是近20年来出现在应用语言学研究领域的新名词,是指学习者在完成其他学习任务时同时出现的认知活动,在词汇学习过程中,学习者可以通过听、说、读、写等活动附带地习得了词汇.随着各种报刊和网络等学习资源的日益完善,学生接触英语的机会逐渐增多,教师如果了解IVA的原理,充分利用丰富的外语资源,同时又对IVA加以指导和干预,对英语词汇教学来说无疑是一个新的途径.

Incidental Vocabulary Acquisition and English Teaching

Incidental Vocabulary Acquisition (IVA) is a newly emerging concept in the field of applied lin- guistics in the recent twenty years.It refers to the cognitive behavior of acquisition that concurs with other learn- ing activities.During the process of speaking,reading,and writing,learners also acquire new vocabulary.A- long with the increasing contact with various magazines and network resources,students have more access to English.Therefore the conditions permit teachers to make full use of resources and guide students toward IVA at the same time,which can be a new path to vocabulary acquisition.
