| Abstract: | Through comparative analysis of the 1976 LLMC Convention, its 1996 Protocol and the relevant provisions in Maritime Code of the people＇s Republic of China,this paper expounds the reasons causing forum shopping under recent judicial practices in China and the approaches to curtail this phenomenon. Suggestions are put forward to improve the current legal regime in this area in China based on some rules and principles established in common law systems. |
