解读跨文化交际视角下《中文菜单英文译法》的翻译价值取向

摘    要:中式菜单英译问题由来已久。虽已有许多民间的英译本流传国内、外,但大多翻译粗俗不堪、良莠不齐。2008北京奥运会的举办把正式规范中式菜单英译问题提到议事日程,最终公布《中文菜单英文译法》手册。本文从《中文菜单英文译法》遵从的翻译原则出发,解读其翻译方法,评述其翻译的价值取向,即跨文化交际视野下的中式菜单的英译是以源语文化为归宿,展示中国特色饮食文化,促进世界多元文化的互补、融合和发展。
