Impact of Establishment of CAFTA on Trade in the Area

This thesis uses a large amount of statistic data to analyze the change of trade scale and trade direction. With theoretical analysis and empirical study, we draw the conclusion that： Firstly, the establishment of CAFTA has an obvious effect on both China and ASEAN sides which increase the trade volume significantly and it is believed that the effect will get stronger and stronger in the recent future years; Secondly, China＇s main trade partners are unchanged, the new numbers of ASEAN enjoy the high increase rate of bilateral trade, and the diverting effect is not symmetric to China and ASEAN countries; Last, it is believed the CAFTA will bring a boom to the investment and service trade in the region in the near future.
