Evaluation on Quebec Private International Law Legislation

This paper introduces the historical background, main contents, legal sources and advantages of Volume Ten of Quebec Civil Code on Private International Law, then probes into the emphasis of the orientation and several guiding principles of "Quebec traditions, economic and social interests as well as global unification movement of private international law"of the present private international law in Quebec, and finally examines the significance of the above legislation on China's legislation of private international law from three points, i. e. , the practical attitude of legislation of Quebec legislators, the integrity of the form of legislation and provisions on inter-provincial conflict of laws equivalent to international conflict of laws.
