凝视拒抗与画诗观看：玛丽安·摩尔画诗抽象的伦理维度

美国现代女诗人玛丽安·摩尔深受包括绘画在内的视觉艺术的影响;不过,学界一方面就绘画对其诗歌影响的内部差异认知不足,另一方面忽视了摩尔画诗与男性画诗的差异。文章试图在讨论现代主义诗歌与绘画共同走向抽象的内在动因的基础上,分析绘画对摩尔诗歌创作和诗歌抽象的影响,并通过剖析摩尔画诗创作中两种异中有同的观看方式——凝视的抗拒和游离的视线,阐述摩尔画诗及其画诗抽象的伦理蕴涵。文章认为作为一种“非掠夺性观看”,摩尔的画诗观看模式与“摩尔式的颠覆”相一致——激进而不极端,是既非传统男性的,也非激进女权主义的。

Resistance to Gazing and Ekphrastic Looking: Ethical Dimension of Marianne Moore's Ekphrastic Abstraction

American modernist female poet Marianne Moore is deeply influenced by visual art including paintings, yet studies up to now lack sufficient recognition as to the internal difference of painting's influence on Moore's poetry on the one hand, and the difference of Moore's ekphrastic poetry from other male poets' counterparts on the other. This thesis attempts to analyze painting's influence on Moore's poetry and poetic abstraction on the basis of a brief discussion of motives driving painting and modernist poetry towards abstraction. The author tries to uncover the ethical implication of Moore's ekphrastic poetry and ekphrastic abstraction through illuminating Moore's two different yet similar ekphrastic looking, namely resistance to gazing and shifting perspective. The thesis proposes that Moore's ekphrastic looking, as “non-predatory looking”, corresponds to her style of “subversion”, radical yet not extreme, which is neither traditional and masculine, nor radical feminist.
