The Archetypal Structure of Myth and Displacement in Tragedies

Aeschylus' Ouristus , Eugere O' Neill' s Mourning Bewrnos Electro and Sartre' s The Flies , though produced in different times, adopt the same mythical archetypal structure. The " resurrection of the mythical archetype is not simple representation, but a displacement in particular social environment & cultural background. Thus the displaced text is the reflection of different cultural value and tragic consciousness.
