| 摘 要： | 我们党提出依法治国，为我国的政治发展目标确立了基本方略。依法治市作为依法治国的重要组成部分，是建设文明进步现代化城市的重要标志。本文作者根据其长期在重庆市人大工作的经验，对重庆市人大在依法治市中的作用情况作了简要的回顾，论述了人大在依法治市中的应有地位，并对人大功能的健全及机制的完善提出了积极的建议。
