论对赌博应严厉查禁而不能“抓大放小”

赌博活动在我国渐呈蔓延趋势,而且花样繁多,规模增大,严重扰乱了社会治安秩序,败坏了社会风气。在这种形势下,有人提出了“抓大放小”的所谓“禁赌新思维”。这种“禁赌新思维”实际上是对我国现行禁赌政策的曲解。要想有效遏制赌博活动发展蔓延势头,必须对群众性娱乐活动正面引导,对赌博活动严厉查禁。

On the Issue of Strictly Banning Gambling Rather Than Administrating the Major Well While Controlling the Minor

Gambling is mushrooming in China with greater diversity and scale,which seriously disturbed social order and ethos.Under this situation,someone proposed so-called "new thinking on banning gambling" with the idea of "administrating the major well while controlling the minor".This "new thinking",in fact,is a misinterpretation of our present policy on banning gambling.To effectively prevent the extension tendency of gambling,it is a must to correctly guide public entertainment activities and strictly ban gambling activities.
