The Differences between Southeast and Northwest Markets during the Song Dynasty--A Historical Research of Shannxi and Zhejiang

During the Song Dynasty, because of the special historical and natural conditions, there were four dominant regional markets, among which the southeast market was sharply different from the northwest market. The northwest market, having developed because of military supplies, flourished as a result of commercial traffic while the southeast one prospered because of the local food production and crop plantation together with the promotion by the sea markets nearby.
