| Institution: | Richard Baker spent most of his career in the Headquarters of the Post Office, dealing successively with broadcasting, buildings and sites, and personnel. After retirement, he went to Sheffield Polytechnic, where He was Reader in Administrative Studies. He was Assistant Secretary of the Beveridge Committee on Broadcasting and has taken part in public inquiries both as a civil servant and representing voluntary organisations. He has published The Management of Capital Projects;(Bell for L.S.E. 1962) and Administrative Theory and Public Administration(Hutchinson 1972). |
