Russian Society on the Threshold of 21 September

The tables presented below for the reader's attention were prepared using materials included in the Public Opinion Foundation (POF) pamphlets titled What Kind of Authoritarian Regime is Possible in Russia? and Russia's Regions: The Population's Economic and Political Orientations,¹ as well as materials from a survey carried out by the foundation in the fall of 1993. The tables are accompanied by brief commentary by POF analysts.
