马来西亚饮食业的命名研究——以中文招牌为例

摘    要:文章对槟城、雪兰莪、马六甲、柔佛、砂拉越及吉隆坡的1241个饮食业中文招牌样本进行调查分析,发现它们有独特的典型基本结构,而且以专名项+业名项+通名项为主。文章也罗列了马来西亚饮食业中文招牌普遍运用的18种命名法,其中4种是此研究中新发现的。研究结果除了可起到填补空缺及留下及时记录的作用,也对从事饮食业的人士有一定的参考价值。

A Study on the Chinese Names of Eating Outlets

Abstract:This study looks into as well as analyses 1241 samples of shop names chosen by Malaysian Chinese eating outlets in Penang, Selangor, Melaka, Johor, Sarawak and Kuala Lumpur. Despite complicated, the analysis reveals that the shop names share an unique typical structure. The study also presents lg types of naming techniques used by Chinese eating outlets to date, in which 4 of them are newly-discovered in this study. These findings could contribute to the understanding of Malaysian Chinese shop names and serve as a time record of the actual use of Chinese language by Malay- sian Chinese, apart from inspirational to owners of eating outlets.
