中日现代化比较研究的几个理论问题

中日现代化比较研究启始于19世纪下半叶,鼎盛于战后,至今仍是学术界研究的热点问题。应该在概括总结近年来学术界研究的基础上,对文明结构分析、现代化进程中的“时差”、现代化推进力量、文化变迁与现代化关系等中日现代化比较研究中的几个理论问题进行深入探讨。文明结构比较分析研究是我们理解中日现代化不同命运的重要视角,但我们在比较研究中日文明结构差异时,要注意分析日本社会结构的“自性”,而不能仅仅研究其“类西方性”。在研究时段选择的问题上,也不能仅仅局限于19世纪下半叶,而应注意进行“长时段”研究。

Several Theoretical Problems in Comparative Research on Modernization between China and Japan

The comparative study between China and Japan on modernization started in the second part of 19th century , and was at its height after the second World War, and it is still the popular issue in the academic circle . The article holds the idea that the comparative study of China and Japans modernization should focus on the following theoretical issues: the analyzing of civilization structure, the " time gap" in modernization, the promotion force of modernization, the relation between culture transition and modernization, etc. The comparative study and analysis of civilization structure is the key angle to understand the different fate of China and Japan in modernization, but when we look the difference between China and Japan in civilization structure, we should pay attention to the "selfness" of Japan s social structure, rather than to only pay attention to its " westernized character" . In terms of the time periods selected for study, we should take a long run of history rather than only focus on the second part of 19th century.
