Abstract: | The position of women in the NHS suggests widespread latent discrimination. The prospects of developing equality of opportunity are not promising, as neither external agencies nor internal managers are capable of bringing about the necessary changes. However, changing demographic factors might result in enlightened personnel policies which will assist the development of equal opportunities. |
