A Vendor Managed Inventory Model for Deteriorating Items Based on Time-Varying Demand

Under the circumstances of violent market competition and shortening life cycle of product,this paper analyzes the issue of Vendor Managed Inventory(VMI) for deteriorating items with complete backlogging based on time-varying demand,including a single supplier,a single buyer and a single product.Then sensitivity analyses are presented to illustrate that the deterioration rate or the service level has different sensitivity to the costs of the VMI model,which provides theoretical evidence for the VMI management decision-making.
