He is the author of Abortion and the Private Practice of Medicine(1986) and editor of The Feeling Intellect: Selected Writings of Philip Rieff(1990). He also edited (with Alan Woolfolk) a volume of Thomas G. Masaryk’s major writings entitled Constructive Sociological Theory(1994), published by Transaction. He is the current editor of The American Sociologist.
