Wujiang：“Backyard Garden of Shanghai”

WUJIANG,dubbed the＂backyard garden of Shanghai＂for its numerous waterways,is changing into a vibrant modem city with a long historical tradition.Many prominent people have lived here,including renowned astronomer Wang Xichan（1628-1682）,patriotic poet Liu Yazi（1887-1958）,and sociologist Fei Xiaotong（1910-2005）. Wujiang has seven ancient towns, each with its own unique personality. Tongli,for example,can be likened to a scroll painting,while Shengze is highly renowned for its silk products.
