桂林新农村建设在促进农业和农村经济发展、农民增收和生活质量提升，强化新农村建设规划编制及民主管理等方面都取得了一定成就。但也还存在农民主体意识淡薄、经济发展缓慢和失衡，基础设施建设不完善，文化建设滞后等问题。为此，我们应从充分发挥农民主体作用，积极发展现代农业，提高农业综合生产能力，引导、鼓励大学生参与新农村建设，加大培训力度，提高农民素质，以先进文化推动乡村文明建设等方面推进新农村建设。

The hope of fields——A Study of Construction of New Socialist Countryside in Guilin

Guilin~ s construction of new countryside has made certain achievements in the promotion of agriculture and rural economic development, farmers＇ income and quality of life, rural development planning, management, promotion of democracy. However, there are also some questions that conclude shorting of the consciousness among farmers, slowing and unbalanced in economic development, being inadequate in the infrastructural facilities , lagged in cultural issues and so on. Therefore, we should bring into full play the main role of farmers; actively develop modern agriculture, increase agricultural production capacity;University students will be encouraged to participate in the new rural development; improve the quality of farmers through training; promote culture and civilization.
