The three months of strenuous efforts of China in fighting against the epidemic have resulted in China’s leading position in putting the it under control,considerable achievements having been made.This could not have been made possible without the formidable national strength accumulated during the decades of large-scale economic construction;neither could it have come into reality without the powerful cultural power deposited during the past millenniums.The great cultural power of China in the anti-epidemic efforts can be found demonstrated in:the official tradition of taking care of the well-being of the public;the civil tradition of putting their faith in the government being supportive to the government;the value orientation of respecting life and the people;the national fraternity international solidarity and mutual help;the heroism in taking the family and the nation as a unity,defending the nation as well as the family;the virtue in self-respect and the mutual respect.
