命题化理论的研究对象、逻辑关系与前提条件——评科塞对社会冲突的研究方法

建构命题化的理论是社会学研究科学化的必然要求.刘易斯·科塞试图构建关于社会冲突功能的命题化理论,但是在他的努力中存在一些不足,主要表现在(1)社会冲突的概念有些含混,对冲突与敌意的释放、社会冲突与群体冲突之间没有做出很好的区分.(2)关于社会冲突的有关命题没有做出很好的逻辑区分与排序,使全文的谋篇布局略显混乱.(3)对于社会冲突理论的前提条件和命题的约束条件没有做出很好的区分,特别是对社会冲突功能理论的前提条件的界定不够清晰明确.指出科塞<社会冲突的功能>一书在研究方法上的不足是为了强调建构命题化的理论的一些基本原则.

The Study Object,Logic and Precondition of Propositional Theory--On Coser''''s methods for studying social conflict

Instituting the propositional theory is necessary for a scientific study of sociology. Lewis Coser attempted to construct the theory that comprised some propositions about social conflict and its functions, but there were some deficiencies in his analysis. They include that: 1) The concept of social conflict was somewhat vague. He confused the functions of conflict with that of specific institutions that serve to drain off hostile and aggressive sentiments. He did not clearly distinguish the concepts of social conflict and group conflict. 2) He neglected to differentiate the categories of propositions about social conflict, which led the logic of his writing to be in disorder. 3) The constraint conditions of the theory about the functions of social conflict were vague. The concepts of the basic values and social structure were not defined definitely. This article aims to emphasize the principle of instituting the theory that comprised some propositions through pointing out several shortcomings in Coser's book The Functions of Social Conflict.
