The hierarchical model of forensic evidence

The use of forensic evidence to prove guilt needs a reasoning process to turn forensic conclusion of evidence source into inference of suspect activity,and the latter are used as legal fact to prove the suspect guilt or not.These processes can be described by a hierarchical model of forensic evidence,which consists of a source level,an activity level and offence level.The notion of a hierarchy model is very helpful for structuring and understanding the issues of forensic use in the judicial setting.
