Zhu Guang-qian's Aesthetics during the "Great Aesthetic Discussion"

In the early days of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Zhu Guan-qian made great achievements in aesthetics, although he was in adversity. He took an active part in the great aesthetic discussion which was started by criticizing his own academic opinions. In the course of the discussion, he put an end to his passive state, and put forward a series of universal theoretical problems. He pushed the reflection about aesthetics in the aesthetic field and created some aesthetic miracles.
