看守所设立特殊疾病监室的必要性探究

A Probe into Necessity of Establishing Special Custody Room for Suspects Who suffer from Serious Illnesses in the Detention Centers

In the public security work practice, the suspects who suffer from serious illnesses such as Aids and Hepatitis B become great problems faced by the basic-level police station. In the process of investigating cases and criminal responsibilities, the police station undergoes great pressure just because the detention house is unwilling to accept the custody, which causes harmful effects to the public security work, such as increasing burden to the police, reducing legal credibility, destroying the mass’ sense of safety, and influencing the police’s working enthusiasm. Because the detention house has its specificity, it is better for judicial practice to establish special custody room for the suspects.
