The conception of happiness is an important thought in the history of Western Ethical Thought. From ancient Greek to modern Europe, the conceptions of happiness have ever had great influence on the development of social economy an d culture. Accompanied by market economy developing rapidly and material culture conflicting violently, we need to establish right conceptions of happiness that should be the unification of creation and enjoyment, the unification of materia l life and spiritual life, the unification of individual eudemonia and collectiv e eudemonia, the unification of individual morality and social system.
