警察职务犯罪心理因素是影响和支配警察进行职务犯罪的各种心理成分，是推动犯罪发生的一种内在因素，主要包括不良需要、犯罪动机、偏倾的价值观、消极的人生观、不恰当的认识倾向、有缺陷的自我调节、极端的情绪和消极的情感、不良性格。上述心理因素在犯罪发生过程中，所起的作用是不同的。有些心理因素对犯罪行为的产生起支配、决定作用，有些心理因素对犯罪的产生起影响、制约作用。
