试论荀子的诚信思想及其当代价值

荀子认为,诚信是人应该具备的一种道德品质,是国家强大的基础,社会上各行各业应该以诚信为本。荀子又认为,人们对利欲的无休止争夺造成了诚信缺失现象,所以,要避免人们的诚信缺失,必须加强学习和教育,同时,统治者要带头讲诚信。批判继承荀子的诚信思想,对于我们当代社会的公民树立讲诚信的道德品质,对于我们加强职业道德建设以及对于我们建立政府诚信等等,具有重要的现代意义。
