| Abstract: | THE Chinese government's com-mitment to the rule of law has produced some admirable results.Over the past 20 years,China has promulgated and enacted a consid-erable body of high-quality laws and regulations.Meanwhile,China has witnessed a rapid improvement of legal education as evidenced by the increase in number of licensed law-yers,and the emerging of globally acclaimed legal experts.The num-ber of courthouses and procurator-ates increased at an unprecedented pace.Chinese President Xi Jinping expressed support for these devel-opments.An annual Constitution Day was setup and the importance of law and the Constitution has been highlighted in legislation.On March 17,2018,the newly-elected state leaders,for the first time in history,pledged allegiance to the Constitution. |
