过去几十年来,语言性别理论的发展经历了从早期零散的讨论到系统的两元对立论再到后期的多元性别建构论。本文旨在揭示这些理论的发展,并总结出了六种语言性别理论:生物决定论、缺陷论、支配论、差异论、社团实践论和表演论。本文主要阐述这些理论的发展与西方女性主义思潮之间的关系。

The Development of the Theory of Linguistic Gender and the Feminist Trends of Thought in the West

In the past few decades, the development of the theory of linguistic gender has undergone the stages from scattered discussions in the early days to the systematic theory of dualistic opposites and, again, to the plauralistic structure theory in the later period. In addition to revealing the evolution of those theories, this essay has summed up other six theories of linguistic gender: bio-decision theory, defect theory, control theory, difference theory, the theory of mass-organizational practice, and performance theory. The essay is devoted mainly to expounding the relationship between the development of these theories and the feminist trends of thought in the west.
