The paper introduces the great impact of Sky Reefer decision on the enforcement of the foreign forum selection clause in the bills of lading .Reviewing the related cases ocurred before and after the decision of the Sky Reefer by the U.S. Supreme Court , the paper writes down the development of the US court's attitude towards the enforcement of the foreign forum selection clause, and discusses the main factors in certain cases for US courts in deciding to uphold or withdraw such clauses at different periods of time .Finally, the paper proposes two ways which may be practical for one who wishes to avoid the enforcement of such clauses.
