全面抗战时期,苏联出于国际主义援助和确保其国家安全利益的双重目的,在大力支持国民政府抗战的同时,对中共及其领导的武装力量给以援助,包括提供了140余万美元的财政资助,制订了向中共提供武器装备的计划,通过开设医院、提供急需药品和安排干部赴苏治疗来改善中共的医疗卫生状况,在苏联国内和中国的新疆建立政治和军事院校为中共培养人才,等等。苏联的援助对于抗日战争取得胜利和中国共产党自身的发展都具有重要意义。
