论中国传统中的顿悟与创新

On Sudden Insight and Creativity in Chinese Tradition

Sudden insight of Ch'an School has a great influence on Chinese traditional thoughts.Although immediate attainment to enlightenment,sudden insight,is helpful to creativity as an intuitive thinking way,in fact,it hinders creativity for its subjectivity,entirety and termination.This is the thinking root which has made creativity lacked for a long time in Chinese history.Rethinking about sudden insight reflects some problems in Chinese traditional thinking way, and impels us to pay more attention to the values of gradual attainment to enlightenment and reason in order to promote creativity and development of contemporary Chinese society.
