Southeast Asia is a region that concerns China's core and important national interests during her peaceful rise,including its peaceful unification,sovereignty in South China Sea,favorable Sino-US relations and foreign trade.Therefore,Southeast Asia is the pivot of both China's diplomacy of good relations of neighborhood and the building of firm peripheral strategic support.There are several key issues in China-ASEAN relations such as Taiwan issue,South China Sea issue,energy sources issue,FTA building and soft strength improvement.China's core and important interests are up against great opportunities and challenges upon the issues above.Accurate understanding of these opportunities and challenges will do good to the further development of China-ASEAN relations and thus the all-round realization of China's national interests.
