On Deng Xiaoping's "First Fall" in Chinese Central Soviet Area and its Inspiration

When working in Jiangxi Central Soviet Area, Deng Xiaoping's official achievements were remarkable but, with big rise and fall in his career, Deng Xiaoping experienced many frustrations. In March, 1933, he was wrongly punished by the "Leftist", meeting with the "first fall" of "three falls and rises" in his life. The deep cause for this fall was that Deng Xiaoping's thought went against the "Left" line. As history bears out, Deng Xiaoping was the great representative in Jiangxi central Soviet area who upheld Mao Zedong's correct line and opposed the "Left", the model who stuck to the combination of principle of truth with discipline of being subordinated to the Party organization. According to the first-hand materials, this paper outlined the ins and outs of Deng Xiaoping's "first fall" in his revolutionary career and summarizes the historical lessons from the error struggle within the Party as well as inspiration from Deng Xiaoping's rise against adversity.
