走出"述而不作"的文化怪圈——中国古代权威崇拜与社会停滞的历史反思

“述而不作,信而好古”是孔子自我标榜的文化志向,它上承三代“尊祖”、“法古”之源,下开后世“述圣”、“述孔”之流,形成了权威崇拜的文化传统,演变为帝王禁锢思想的政治工具,终于导致了民族创新能力的丧失与社会发展的停滞。反思这一历史教训,走出这个文化怪圈,对今天的社会变革仍有巨大的现实意义。

Narration instead of innovation and loyal to ancient authority are the aspirations which Confucius boosted.Inheriting the source of following ancestry and imitating ancient authority,and opening the trend of narrating the works of saint and Confucius,it becomes cultural tradition of authority worship.Later it becomes the ideological shackles by empires and results in the loss of national innovation capability and the standstill of social development.Therefore,it is of great social significance to reflect the phase of history and walk out of the absurd cultural circle for the social transformation.
