摘    要:“木” mu (wood) has been variously represented as “■ ”“■,” “木 ” and “木 ” throughout history.“ - ” symbolizes branches, “(?) ” a tree trunk, and “(?)” its roots, all three forming a tree. In China, talent is often likened to a tree. There is an old saying, “It takes ten years to grow a tree, but one hundred years to establish a people.” “木” is a component of constructions such as “木材” mucai(timber) “木工” mu gong(woodworker) and “木匠” mujiang (carpenter).
