社科期刊目录页汉译英研究

本文对2008及2009年英国、美国、澳大利亚和联合国出版的几十种国际社科期刊的目录页进行分析,提出中文社科期刊目录页英译应遵循信息传递原则、要素规范原则和语言地道原则。在分析目前我国部分社科期刊英文目录页存在的主要问题和问题症结所在的同时,呼吁译者应增强使命感和责任意识,提高翻译质量,使中国社科期刊英文目录页真正成为对外学术交流的窗口之一。

C-E Translation of Contents Pages of Social Science Journals

Based on the analysis of dozens of contents pages of journals published in England, the United States, Australia and by the United Nations in 2008 and 2009, this article holds that C-E translators of contents pages should follow three principles:to convey correct information, to imitate element structure of contents pages of journals published in English-speaking countries and to express meanings in the way native speakers do. The article lists def iciencies that have appeared on English contents pages of some social science journals in current China, analyzes contributive factors and argues for translators to strengthen mission sense and awareness of responsibility, so that the English contents pages of social science journals in China can function, with improved translation quality, as one of the important windows for foreigners to have knowledge of China’s academic world.
