Clinical Effect of Compound Zeqi Granule in Treatment of Psoriasis with Blood-Heat Syndrome and Change in Dermoscopic Findings

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Compound Zeqi Granule in the treatment of psoriasis with blood-heat syndrome and the change in dermoscopic findings of skin lesion after treatment. Methods A total of 45 patients with psoriasis with blood-heat syndrome were randomly divided into treatment group with 23 patients and control group with 22 patients and were treated with oral administration of Compound Zeqi Granule and Compound Qingdai Capsule, respectively, for 8 weeks. Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI) was used to evaluate treatment outcome, and Vascular Psoriasis Area Severity Index(VPASI) was used to evaluate the change in dermoscopic findings of skin lesion. Results There was a significant difference in treatment outcome between the two groups (P<0.05), and the treatment group had a significantly better treatment outcome than the control group. Both groups had significant reductions in PASI and VPASI of dermoscopy after treatment (P<0.05), and the treatment group had significantly greater reductions than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Compound Zeqi Granule has a marked clinical effect in the treatment of psoriasis with blood-heat syndrome, and dermoscopy can be used to evaluate the healing of skin lesion and the clinical effect of pharmacotherapy.
