关于如何提高交警警务英语应用能力的研究

改革开放以来，经历了30年风雨历程的中国人民公安教育，培养了大批公安人才，他们具有扎实的基本功、严谨的业务知识以及执法能力，但英语应用能力普遍比较薄弱。目前，干警们普遍感到自己的英语水平处理涉外案件时力不从心，常常出现处理涉外案件或面对外籍人士求助时，只能面面相觑的尴尬局面。这既影响了涉外警务的处理，也在某种程度上影响了中国警察的形象。因此，开展警务英语培训，提高一线民警特别是交通警察的警务英语应用水平已经刻不容缓。

A Study on Improving Traffic Police＇s Policing English Application Abilities

Since the reform and opining up, Chinese people＇s public security education has cultivated a large number of excellent police with solid basic skills, rigorous professional knowledge and law enforcement abilities but generally weak English application abilities after 30 years of ups and downs. At present, it seems too much for police to deal with foreign-related cases or confront with asking for help from foreigners, which makes them look at each other in speechless despair. This not only affects the process of handling foreign-related police affairs but also affects the image of Chinese police to some extent. Thus, it is extremely urgent to carry out English application levels of the front-line police, policing English training in order to improve policing especially for the traffic police.
