船舶保险中续保问题研究

船舶入保后 ,并非保证发生保险事故一定会得到赔偿 ,许多情况可以导致船舶保险提前中断 ,本文通过对英国协会船舶保险条款和 PICC船舶保险条款进行分析研究 ,使被保险人了解和掌握船舶续保问题 ,从而使船舶保险在航运中发挥更大的作用。

Continuation of Ship's Insurance

The fact that the ship has been insured cannot guarantee that the insured would be indemnified if there occurred the perils insured, for there are many occurrences causing the discontinuance of the ship's insurance. However, if the insured can take some appropriate measures in respect to some of these occurrences, the ship's insurance shall be continued. This essay analyzes Institute Hull Clauses and the Hull Clauses of PICC, in order for the insured to know and master the problem on the continuance of the ship's insurance, thus enabling the ship's insurance to play more important role in the shipping industry.
