| Abstract: | The System of China-Appointed Attesting Officers is an institutional arrangement specially designed for attesting to the legitimacy and authenticity of legal actions, facts with legal significance and documents that have originated in the territory of Hong Kong SAR in accordance with relevant legal procedures, and notarizations produced consequentially would be transferred to the legal authorities in the Mainland. The institution itself offers the attesting officers rules and codes that they must abide by, and is an important constituent part of China＇s notary system with its own characteristics. |
