如何在公安院校开展有效的大学英语课堂活动

通过对公安院校学生英语学习情况的问卷调查发现,公安院校学生在英语学习中存在无用心理、自卑心理、畏难心理等,对英语学习的认同感不足,学习方法单一,依赖母语过多。改善这一状况,应采取一系列有效的大学英语课堂活动,激发学生的英语学习兴趣,使学生克服各种消极心理,体验到英语学习进步所带来的成就感,增强学好英语的信心。

How to Carry Out Effective Classroom Activitiesin College English Courses at Police Colleges and Universities

Through the questionnaire of the English study in police colleges, we found out there are psychological problems such as low esteem and fear among students in police colleges; they think learning English is useless; they have low study basis and poor sense of identity in English study; their studying methods aren’t diverse and they rely too much on their mother tongue. Aimed at these characteristics, this article further proposes a series of effective classroom activities in college English courses to stimulate students’ interests, help them overcome negative perceptions and learn good study methods and experience the sense of fulfillment in the progress of English study. Hopefully it can boost students’ self-confidence and English study of police colleges in the process.
