文化在传播的时候,由表征来决定其意义和过程,而形象的产生伴随的仍然是表征实践。表征是一个过程,是使意义被表征系统建构的过程。参与表征过程的人们通过话语方式进行意义的建构和争夺。话语构造了话题,它界定和生产了我们知识的各种对象,它还影响着各种观念被投入实践和用来规范他人行为的方式。

In the process of cultural dissemination, the meanings and the process are decided by its representations. However, the production of image is accompanied with the practice of representation. Representation is a process, in which its meanings are systematically constructed. In the process, the participants conduct the meaning construction and competition (rivalry) through discourse. Discourse creates topics. It defines and produces various objectives of our knowledge. It also influences various concepts, which have been put into practice and used as a wayto regulate others' behaviors.
