| Abstract: | Maogang town in Shanghai Songjiang District is located along the Huangpu River and also a conservation area at its upstream course. It was entitled the farmland-preserving region in 2004 and no industrial land development can be permitted here. By the on-the-spot investigation, the authors have studied the mode and approached adopted by Maogang town, which has created a developmental road for the New Countryside Construction without depending on industries. |
