| Abstract: | Recent years have witnessed the transformation of English Law of Evidence. In criminal cases, legislation has unquestionably tipped the scales more in favor of the prosecution. For instance, legislation has restricted the right of silence under the provisions of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994. The courts too have relaxed some of the exclusionary rules in favor of the prosecution. |
