"Hen" is an active and productive adverb of degree in modern Chinese,and can bring about new phrases,instances and functions in the process of making sentences.And the structure of "hen X hen XX" is a typical manifestation of this productivity.Through a study of this structure,this article attempts to find out the reasons and rules in the aspects of syntactic features and pragmatic contexts,in hope to instruct and regulate the special usage of variations.
