Making Effort to Promote Defining Institutions,Standards and Procedures for the CPPCC to Perform Functions

Political consultation,democratic supervision,and participation in the deliberation and administration of state affairs are the three mainly functions of the CPPCC.Conscientiously performing these three main functions is the main work and activities of the CPPCC and an important part of the development of socialist democratic politics and building socialist political civilization.Faced in the new situation and tasks,the CPC Central Committee focused on promoting construction of socialist democratic politics,from the height of concerning on the long-term development of the CPPCC and start from the CPPCC’s work reality,clearly proposed that the CPPCC to perform its functions to define institutions,standards and procedures for socialist democracy,pointed out a direction for new development of promoting the cause of the CPPCC at this new stage in the new century.
