| Abstract: | The May 12, 2008 devastating earthquake epicentered in Wenchuan City of southwestChina＇s Sichuan Province has brought the nation too much tear and pain. The ancient proverb that ＂Calamities always help to make a nation flourishing＂ requires the drawing of valuable lessons from the bitter experience. Although heavenly might may be unpredictable, how to recover losses caused by human errors, how to improve the civil law to redress its defective parts, etc in reconstruction after the magnitude-8 earthquake all belong to issues that it has left over for reflections on civil law. |
