图书馆精神思考

图书馆精神作为贯穿于图书馆工作中的基本思想、准则、信念和价值观,是一个历史性范畴。近现代图书馆精神的核心是通过图书馆保障普通民众获取知识与信息的公平权利。然而,时至今日,这一理念在我国图书馆工作中并没有真正建立和实现。坚持人人公平享受信息,关注信息弱势群体,维护图书馆自身价值,提高人们对图书馆职业的敬意,是当今时代发展对图书馆精神的呼唤。

Thought on Library Spirit

As the fundamental idea,rule and value,the library spirit is a historical category that runs through the library work.The core of the modern library spirit is to ensure that the common people enjoy the fair right of acquiring knowledge and information.However,the idea hasn't been established and implemented in the Chinese library.The development of our era calls on the library spirit of enabling everyone to share information impartially,of paying close attention to the weak group,of protecting the libraries' value,and of improving people's respect for the library occupation.
